As freshly married couple, we went to Kuramathi Isaland Resort for our dream Honeymoon. Since our arrival at Malé to our departure everything flowed as a dream. We had the privilege to travel by sea plane from Malé to Kuramathi, this takes about 15 minutes, and the sights we saw and the photos taken foresaw the experience we were about to live. I trully recommend the sea plane not only because of sights we see but also because the other possible transfer is the boat that takes a lot of time to arrive to the islands and does not allow the beautifull sky photos. When we arrived to Kuramathi it seems that every person is waiting for you; nothing fails and syncronization is almost at the second; there is no time to wait. We were recived with a welcome coktail and for each couple one staff member to explain every detail of your stay. We had booked for a bech villa, but thay gave us a superior beach villa with jacuzzi for the same price...nice surprise!!! When we arrived to our acommodation all our bags were waiting at the door. This was the begining of a dream stay and a dream travel.
During our stay we had breakfast and lunch at the buffet and it was like paradise with a great variety of choices and every staff member very friendly. At this buffet we had the same table every day as well as the same waiter. I think this is great to create empathies. As we had an select all inclusive, we could drink almost everything we want, except for champagne, and have dinner in every restaurants in the island. Kuramathi has a Barbeque restaurant, Pizzeria,Thai, Sea food, Indian and a coffe shop. We had dinner in all of them and the food was top class. With our package we could select wine à la carte which were great wine choices. I think that Kuramathi is one of the biggest islands of Maldives, fact is that when were walking along the island at day or nigth rarely we rarely crossed paths with someone, it looks the island is just for us. We also had a SPA experience, one hour full body couple massage with fruits and champagne, a very enjoyable and relax moment. Of course that the all day snorkling with all kind of sea life is undoubtedly an unforgettable experience. We also had the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) which is a well spent money. The electric buggys are a great way to travel through the island but we really enjoyed our walks. As all other guest we had the chance of doing two excursions, one Sunset Cruise and a visit to Local Island Rasdhoo. The sunset cruis was great and we had the chance to wacth dolpinhs and flying fishies. The visit to local island Rasdhoo was a bit disappointing because the boat lives us ther for two ours and the locals only want to sell you something, thers garbage every were and no one is intersted in you or talking to you only in your money.
Every time we arrived to our room it has been cleand up and we haven't even saw the cleaning staff. All paths along the island are cleaned every morning. No one askes you for tips and every one is working with a big smile and and ready to help if needed.
One thing that i think could be improved is the Internet connection. It should be a free acess in all island.
Of course, the hard part is living this paradise...but even when living everything is syncronized and when the sea plane arrives all is ready and thers no time to wait. At the end we have no doubt tha Kuramathi is one of the best resorts in Maldives, one of the best palces in the world to dive and for sure we will go back again some day!!!
