Luxury hotel developer the Viceroy Group has revealed that, Viceroy Maldives will officially be opened on April 6th, 2012. Viceroy resorts and Hotels are distinguished uniquely by an array of luxury life style experience complemented with contemplative design and surreal hospitality in world’s most celebrated destinations. Viceroy Hotel Group is headed for a significant brand development with optimistic predictions for 2012. Under a significant brand development plan, existing viceroy properties will go under renovation and new Viceroy Properties will emerge.
The Viceroy Maldives resort features 61 luxury villas, built over the crystalline water and on the beaches that surround the Vagaru Island, a 72-acre private island in Shaviyani Atoll. The villas are amongst the largest in the Maldives, according to Viceroy. The spacious villas promise 1,345 to 3,300 square feet of indoor space, with outdoor private areas, all including plunge pools. Viceroy Maldives will also unveil five unique restaurants and bars nestled in an opulent setting, with special dining options at Chef’s table or at the underground wine cellar. The Spa at Viceroy Maldives will feature Ayurvedic treatments and Yoga classes along with a fitness centre built over water.
“Extending the Viceroy brand across the world to the Maldives is a very exciting development for us,” Brad Korzen, Founder and CEO of Viceroy Hotel Group was quoted on media reports. “We look forward to welcoming our clientele to this breathtaking resort in early 2012.”
Viceroy Maldives will be the first Viceroy to open outside of the Americas and will be followed by two major hotel developments in Turkey and Abu Dhabi scheduled to be in operation by the end of 2014.
